Guys Graduation Photo Shoot:

    Well getting in more practice with photo shooting. Learning little by little what works and what doesn't. Had a fun time doing this in Peru for a sweet missionary family whose son is heading off to college soon!

Pensacola Paradise:

   Had an amazing visit to Pensacola, Florida. I'm not sure which was better the rising moon or the setting sun. Wow! Creation is awesome!

 

 

Sweet Nothings: 

   Presenting my latest achievement: Engagement photos!!! Thanks to my brother and to be sister-in-law for giving me the practice. You all are beautiful couple. 

 
 

 

 

 

 

Barn Stalking:

   Recently, a friend and I drove out to the country and went "barn stalking". In other words we pulled over whenever we saw a photogenic barnyard, and took its picture. Angles and lighting play a part in pulling out a barns character. Sunrise and sunsets provide softer light and pull out the textures of the wood. Taking photos from the kneeling position give height to your structure and more of its life-likeness.

 

 
 
 


Senior Picture Time:

 Had a lot of fun "shooting" my sister this last week. The lighting was perfect and the surroundings free. It's always important to keep in mind the personality of your subject as some poses don't work for certain people. It is better to take shots of them in their natural, comfortable poses.

Family Fun:

   My very first photo shoot involved my own siblings. Since our choice of schooling is homeschool, they don't benefit from school picture day. We decided to have our own impromtu version. The weather was a little chilly, but with gloves, hats, coats, and a few rosy cheeks our session was a success. Success of course based on Mom crying when she sees her beautiful family--we were successful. There was a glint of something there in her happy eyes!

Nature's Chandelier:

   These shots were taken in the late morning while out on a walk. My original goal was another barn I had seen in the neighborhood. On the way home as I looked up I was surprised at how brilliant blue the sky was, and how this particular tree stood out in its white glory. The branches with their dried seed pods reminded me of tiny chandeliers hanging from the sky.
